Business Objects was a French enterprise software company (now part of SAP AG), specializing in business intelligence (BI). The company claims more than 42,000 customers worldwide. Their flagship product is BusinessObjects XI, with components that provide performance management, planning, (interactive) reporting, query and analysis, and enterprise information management regardless of the underlying business applications or data stores (SAP systems, non-SAP systems, Excel files, ...).
