Elep is manufacturer of envelopes. Elep is working in a partnership mode with their customers where a personalised envelope is the end result. For this flexibility Elep chose for SAP for the production, sales, purchasing and finance. Elep has chosen SAP for the flexibility and especially for the variant configuration. An envelope has different characteristics like length, thickness, color,... During quoting process all those characteristics are important to get to the final price. All this is totally integrated with the production process and purchasing process. Elep started with SAP version 4.6. OASIS Consultants has done the upgrade to version 4.7. In the meantime OASIS did the optimisations. Effort for the upgrade: 35 mandays.
Umicore is a group specialized in material technology. Its activities are focused on new materials, precious metals, sink products and catalysts. Umicore has been using SAP for a while but it wanted to have its new business units and acquisitions on SAP. It also decided to upgrade its older version to more recent versions of SAP and to return as much as possible to standard SAP functionality. The SAP projects started for OASIS Consultants within the new business unit "Auto Catalysts", firstly in the USA and Canada, later on in China. For this unit it was necessary to implement: FI, CO, SD, MM, WM, PP and Metal Accounting. The first site was Canada where the foundations were made for what is today known as "metal accounting". At the same time a roll-out was planned for a new plant in China based on the same production principles as in Canada. Consequently OASIS Consultants has done the setup of the cobalt trading unit in Hong Kong, China. Cobalt in Olen, Belgium already had SAP in place, but was working on an old version, highly customized and partly made to measure. In China OASIS could start with standard SAP from scratch. It took care off the SAP modules FI, CO, SD, MM, and PP.
Other smaller projects were also performed for Umicore. OASIS has proven that standard SAP functionality can cover almost every business requirement. OASIS’s pragmatic approach proved to be successful in all of its implementations.
Cumerio is a spin off of the copper department of Umicore when it went to the stock market in 2005. OASIS Consultants handled the "carve out" of the copper department in SAP to a seperate SAP environment. The carve out included architecture, peripherals, office, SAP environment, networking,...
Optimization was part of the project but in 2006 Oasis Consultants was asked to analyze their current system and possible upgrades. It was decided to do an implementation from scratch and return back to standard SAP functionalities in 2007.
Aleris Aluminum Duffel is today part of Aleris International, Inc. which has purchased the downstream aluminum business of Corus Group. Oasis Consultants has realized a series of SAP projects for the manufacturing plant in Duffel in the past. It implemented the sales and distribution module and the integration with the financial modules. EDI was setup for customers and vendors. Oasis was also responsible for the fine tuning of VAT issues. Oasis implemented Asset Accounting and Internal Order Accounting. Electronic bank statement functionality was setup.
Knauf is a producer of plaster plates. They use SAP for the implementation of production, sales, purchasing and finance. Knauf is using SAP for the production, purchasing of goods and services, sales, finance for Belgium. For Knauf the product costing and profitability analysis is very important. OASIS Consultants has implemented new functionalities and optimisations. Effort for the implementation: 100 mandays.
For SCA Packaging the regular modules, like finance and logistics, were implemented, but also BW (Business Warehouse) and mobile sales. Further authorizations for all European plants were set up. This was an ongoing project, but the base implementation was 12 months.
